Hello Ms. Wells,

I’ve just come home from the “Ready to Win Conference” that was held at the Garland Event Center. I was so very impressed with the smooth operations behind the scenes that made the conference so professional and friendly. BUT...I was most of all thankful for the anointed speakers; the transparency of the testimonies; and the timeliness of the topics. Thank you very much for all that you did to enhance our spiritual walk; provide information about how to “dress”; challenge us to fight our enemy using our spiritual weapons; and finally be ready to WIN.

I do hope that you will have this conference in GARLAND and at the Event Center every year. I will do all I can to promote this event. I copied the Mayor of Garland on this email and will encourage him and others to assist you in whatever you need to continue these conferences. It was apparent, by the number of attendees, that Christians in Garland must do more to market this conference and promote this type of event at our wonderful venue, the Garland Event Center. You have done all you could by providing a first class operation. Please allow us the opportunity to assist you next year so that attendance is more than 8,000. I hope and pray that Garland Pastors and Christian organizations in and around Garland will join hands with you so that more people will make plans to attend. A larger audience will benefit the city of Garland with additional hotel rooms rented; restaurant patrons eating; and shoppers at our malls and stores. But please know that I am forever changed by the anointing on you and the other speakers. All of us who attended were blessed because we were there.

Again thank you for your years of sacrifice, all for the glory of our King, the Lord Jesus Christ.

--
Sincerely,
Dorothy

Thank you so much!! I do hope that none of you are disappointed by the turnout. I'm sad that there were so many missed opportunities, but everyone that was there was there because God wanted us there.

Dear Vikki,

Thanks for your response even though I didn't check it out until returning home from the Conference today. I also appreciate you calling me early this morning with this information.
Like many, was truly blessed by attending the Conference today. Our Events Leader did not get this information out to our church family until the last minute, therefore, we did not have a turn out.
I've always been blessed and enjoyed your Mother when attending her Conferences and hearing her speak when she is the speaker. I seen her at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX also when she was the speaker at different T.I. activities.

May the Lord continue to bless and keep all of you as you continue to do his work.

Sincerely,
Sister Bobbie

Regarding the RTW Conference:

God DID move, and we were BLESSED! Thank you, ladies, for a wonderful conference! The women with me were VERY grateful for the subject matters discussed. And all I kept hearing around me were participants saying "she's so cute" - talking about Thelma!!! And, Mama T., every time you laugh - I laugh. Your laugh is like bubbles welling up inside....and it is infectious!

The speakers were awesome, the music top-notch, the message(s) - divine!

Thelma this is so awesome. As you know I work with the inter-city kids most of their parents are in prison, they are raised by their grand parents. I have shared this with you before. Late July was the only time we could do bible school because we did not want them to miss the opportunity to go to camp(which was awesome by the way) and since VBS would not be until the end of July I have been worried about the heat. It had even been suggested we skip a year. Your prayer confirms I made the right decision to go a head and have it. I love your ministry so much. Keep up the good work

As always we will miss you at the Women of Faith in Dallas.

Thelma Wells...(Mama T):

You are God sent. Yes, the children need us. As I listened to your plea to God for our children on the video...I was touched!
For a some months, the welfare of children have also been on my heart. Over a year ago, I put together a skit that was composed of some elementary school children. The skit was called "We Are The Future." The skit was presented at a senior citizen's center and well received!!

I am in the process of putting together another skit involving children of various ethnic groups, that might be presented at a Martin Luther King Celebration to take place in January or February 2010.

I would like to share more information with you. We seem to have a "meeting of the minds" regarding OUR children. How can I reach you?

My desire and vision is to broaden the borders of the need to focus on our children...they are the future. I've served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. I currently teach the primary class where I attend church.

I'm a member of "Extraordinary Women." I was blessed to hear you speak in Sterling Heights, Michigan in 2008 at the Bethesda Christian Church. I am a student at the Bethesda Bible Institute. Please contact me as soon as you can...I really would like to talk with you!

Just in from Ewomen '09. Took a group of six from our church. We set on the 3rd row back right behind the speakers for the event. Met Mama T for the first time this weekend. She was such a blessing to me. She really touched my heart. On my way out of the Hotel this evening, I seen her one more time. The glory off God just beams off her. I hope when people look at me they can say the same. Love Ya, Mama T.

Hi,

I just saw you on channel 57 in Atlanta and I am so grateful and impressed!!! I know that you are more than a conquerer and that God loves you so much! What a great witness for our Lord. This year God has met my needs in amazing ways with his amazing Grace. Early in January I decided to take the high road, his WAY...I have experienced miracle after miracle,Praise the Lord. In man's eyes my situation was hopeless, but God didn't see things that way. In 5 short months I am healed, employed, loved and it is all because I choose to cry out to God.

Bless You,
Debbie

Hi Thelma. Your testimonials and leadership abilities, has been such a role model for me and the group of girls that I mentor. My most favorite phrase I used is to Dare To Dream. I have followed your ministries, that is centered on concept of the joy of the Lord being your strengh. On this journey I have learned that nothing just happens, and everything is on God's purpose. Maybe we will meet in ministry one day, the world is made up of a circle.

Thelma,

It has been a long time since we have e-mailed. I don't know if you remember or not. I am from Waco and have corresponded with you several times regarding the inter city kids I work with in around the project areas. You have been very inspirational to me. You also prayed for my little niece Emma Grace Martin which by the way is doing great! Praise God. I am so excited about your conference in Garland on May 22-23. I just want to say thank you for that I certainly plan on being there. I am working on a group as we speak. I hope someday God leads you to Waco. You and your group would certainly always be welcomed in my home to stay or to have a home cooked meal or both. Looking forward to seeing you in May. God Bless you.

Dear Thelma,

You name has come up several times recently and I just found your website.

I have a story about you and how you helped me about 11 years ago.

I was a graduate student at Amber University in Garland. I was taking a course in Cultural Diversity. The professor assigned a project for us to either write a paper or invite a speaker to our class. I ran into you at a meeting and I boldly walked up and invited you to come speak to our class. You immediately agreed to speak.

I got home and realized that you must have a speaker's fee. I thought to myself.."I could never afford her speaker's fee!". I decided to call you and explain my financial constraints. I fully expected you to graciously decline. However, to my amazement, you offered to come speak at no charge!!

The night you came into the class, I observed that my classmates were less than impressed to start with. Then, as you starting speaking, the mood changed. By the time you finished, the class applauded with enthusiasm. Needless, to say I got an "A" for my assignment!!! I will never forget that experience. Whenever your name is mentioned, I relate the story.

Thanks again for your generosity!!!

Linda

PS. I earned my master's degree in Business in 2000 (at the age of 50!).

Dear Thelma,

It was such a great joy and pleasure to meet you at the Extraordinary Women's Conference in Johnson City, TN. It was such a wonderful weekend of learning and worshiping. I'm so glad my mother asked me to join her. Your story of singing in church was particularly meaningful to me because I share the same experience. In fact I still struggle today with my confidence in singing. When I heard you sing I knew that you sang for the Lord and that you received true joy in doing so. Thank you for your words when we spoke after your session and thank you for your wonderful ministry. I go with renewed hope in using my voice to please and glorify the Lord. Attached is the photo from the event of my mother (Vickie and myself with you) that you asked me to send to you. I hope to see you again in the future and I thank you again for your words. Have safe travels!

Mrs Wells:

Thelma, I have been watching you on James and Betty Robison forever, I just love you. Five years ago, I was addicted to Crack, and I drank like a fish, I knew I had to stop, it was destroying me, and my marriage. I had just lost my job. And found out I had to go in for emergency double bypass, In THREE days. I prayed and asked God if he would see me through this operation I would never do any kind of drug again and I would stop drinking. I went in to the surgery and not only did God see me through the surgery, he also delivered me from drinking or drugs, instantly!!! From the time I left the hospital I did not have one drink, or any drugs, I did not have any desire to nor did I have any kind of a withdraw. Praise God, my husband gave his heart to God about 5 months ago, and was baptized, and has been sober for 21 days. He is active in our discover Recovery program at church. I just thank God every day for being a God of second and third chances. He is so good to us. I pray I can serve him well. Thank You so much for this web site. I have some friends I will now contact and invite them to join us. Bless you Thelma.

In Jesus Name.
Susie
