THELMA WELLS WINS EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN ASSOCIATION "WOMAN OF THE YEAR" AWARD
Dallas, TX: Having begun her own personal ministry in early 2008, Thelma Wells was surprised to learn that she had been selected as the 2008 Woman of the Year from the Extraordinary Women Association. She joined the Association as a speaker in April 2008 and has enjoyed traveling with and speaking for the group for the past 10 months.
“This is my proudest moment,” Thelma said as she accepted the award. “I don’t do anything for me. I love all of you and, from my heart, I want to serve you. But, to be honored by you [the Association] is such a special, significant, and validated thing for me. Thank you for loving me.”
Julie Clinton, president of Extraordinary Women, said that the qualifications for the Woman of the Year Award are:
Exemplary service in Christian ministry
Faithful witness and testimony
An example for all Christian women to follow
“Thelma brings a wealth of wisdom, humor, and the keen ability to communicate biblical truths out of a heart that understands the issues and challenges that women face everyday,” Ms. Clinton said of Thelma (a.k.a. Mama T). “She loves God and believes that He has a dream for her life. She is a faithful warrior for Extraordinary Women.”
The Association’s desire is to let women everywhere know that no matter where they have been, what they have done, or what they are going through, God loves them and has a plan for their life. To learn more about the Extraordinary Women Association, visit ewomen.net.
