Oh, what you can learn from a child's faith! Our family went to a restaurant after church where they gave out balloons, tied with long strings. My grandson Josiah, 3 1/2, had his balloon tied to a chair because he kept losing it. Eventually, he managed to untie the balloon, leaving the string tied to the chair, with the balloon rising to the ceiling, stringless. It stayed there. I had retrieved the balloon before by reaching the long string, but now I said, "I can’t reach it. We can't get the balloon." Josiah told me, "God can get it for us." I said, "Yes, but I can't get it." He repeated, "But God can get it for us." I replied, "Well, maybe He wants to teach us to not untie the string." Josiah repeated his confident statement. Sighing, I said a quiet prayer to God to please give us the balloon, thinking that we'd need a 12 foot tall guy to walk by. Then I looked up at the balloon, and noticed it shrinking. The air was slowly escaping from the untied balloon, and down it dropped into Josiah's waiting hands. Amazed, I just said, "There you go. God did it!"
